Description: Description: Recalculation of incorrectly designed supporting steel structure of a two-bay production hall with cranes. The original supporting structure design drawn-up by another entity contained errors that were identified during the execution. A detailed design for repair of the entire structure has been prepared while respecting the requirement of minimizing the repair costs and observing the commissioning date. The hall was already assembled and provided with envelope at the time when we started our redesign work. Most repairs were performed at the site. Only the crane track beams with the length of 16m were returned to the bridge building plant for repair. Bridge cranes with the weight of up to 65 tons were installed on the tracks during the repair. It was very difficult to move the cranes during the reconstruction as the rails were at higher elevation after the repair.
Implementation and workshop documentation of the steel structures repair, author's supervision during the reconstruction, cooperation in economic assessment of the repair, support to the investor during insurance claim submission to the insurance company.
